My Wedding Cake

It is not what I originally designed as it was two in the morning before I was able to start decorating it. I started out with my original plan and become tired and frustrated very quickly as my depth perception handicap due to having only one eye to see out of made it impossible for me to continue on with it. So... I ended up scrapping it down and re-frosting it and going with a simpler design.

The fondant pearls on the bottom border and fondant seashells are still part of my original plan, the only thing that is different are the details on the side.

I wanted to incorporate the blue and green colors as they were our wedding colors. The fondant pearls and seashells are dusted in luster dust.

The cake topper was made specially for me by my sister-in-law Janelle. I looked for so long to find a cake topper I liked and never found one so I designed one instead. There are blue, green, and white swarovski crystals as accents.

All in all I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

It was white cake with key lime filling and almond buttercream frosting.
